Raspberry Pi 4 Model B with 8GB Ram (Latest & Original)
he Raspberry Pi Foundation has released a new version of its flagship model, the Raspberry Pi 4 Model B with 8 GB Ram. In addition to the models that come with 2GB and 4GB of RAM, there’s a new 8GB RAM model.
As always, you get a single-board computer that is the size of a deck of cards. It has an ARM-based CPU, many ports, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a big community of computer enthusiasts. You’ll be able to run applications that require more RAM, whether you use the Raspberry Pi to run a server or as a desktop computer.
All other hardware is the same as before except the RAM variation in this new Launch.
What else has changed?
To supply the slightly higher peak currents required by the new memory package, they have shuffled the power supply components on the board, removing a switch-mode power supply from the right-hand side of the board next to the USB 2.0 sockets and adding a new switcher next to the USB-C power connector. While this was a necessary change for this upgrade.

The 74HC138 decoder utilizes advanced silicon-gate CMOS technology and is well suited to memory address decoding or data routing applications. The circuit features high noise immunity and low power consumption usually associated with CMOS circuitry, yet has speeds comparable to low power Schottky TTL logic. The 74HC138 has 3 binary select inputs (A, B, and C). If the device is enabled, these inputs determine which one of the eight normally HIGH outputs will go LOW. Two active LOW and one active HIGH enables (G1, G2A and G2B) are provided to ease the cascading of decoders. The decoder?s outputs can drive 10 low power Schottky TTL equivalent loads, and are functionally and pin equivalent to the 74LS138. All inputs are protected from damage due to static discharge by diodes to VCC and ground.
24C32 32K bit Serial I2C Bus EEPROM IC DIP-8 Package
The 24C32 is a 4K x 8 (32K bit) Serial Electrically Erasable PROM. This device has been developed for advanced, low power applications such as personal communications or data acquisition. The 24C32 features an input cache for fast write loads with a capacity of eight 8-byte pages, or 64 bytes. It also features a fixed 4K-bit block of ultra-high endurance memory for data that changes frequently. The 24C32 is capable of both random and sequential reads up to the 32K boundary. Functional address lines allow up to eight 24C32 devices on the same bus, for up to 256K bits address space. Advanced CMOS technology makes this device ideal for low-power non-volatile code and data applications. The 24C32 is available in the standard 8-pin plastic DIP and 8-pin surface mount SOIC package.

74LS367 IC – (SMD Package) Tri-State Hex Buffer IC (74367 IC)
This device contains six independent gates each of which performs a non-inverting buffer function. The outputs have the 3-STATE feature. When enabled, the outputs exhibit the low impedance characteristics of a standard LS output with additional drive capability to permit the driving of bus lines without external resistors. When disabled, both the output transistors are turned OFF presenting a high-impedance state to the bus line. Thus the output will act neither as a significant load nor as a driver. To minimize the possibility that two outputs will attempt to take a common bus to opposite logic levels, the disable time is shorter than the enable time of the outputs
74LS175 IC – (SMD Package) Quad D Flip-Flop IC (74175 IC)
The 74LS175 is a high speed Quad D Flip-Flop. The device is useful for general flip-flop requirements where clock and clear inputs are common. The information on the D inputs is stored during the LOW to HIGH clock transition. Both true and complemented outputs of each flip-flop are provided. A Master Reset input resets all flip-flops, independent of the Clock or D inputs, when LOW. The LS175 is fabricated with the Schottky barrier diode process for high speed and is completely compatible with all Motorola TTL families.
74HC590 IC – (SMD Package) – 8-Bit Binary Counter IC (74590 IC)
The 74HC590 is an 8-bit binary counter with a storage register and 3-state outputs. The storage register has parallel (Q0 to Q7) outputs. The binary counter features master reset counter (MRC) and count enable (CE) inputs. The counter and storage register have separate positive edge triggered clock (CPC and CPR) inputs. If both clocks are connected together, the counter state is always one count ahead of the register. Internal circuitry prevents clocking from the clock enable. A ripple carry output (RCO) is provided for cascading. Cascading is accomplished by connecting RCO of the first stage to CE of the second stage. Cascading for larger count chains can be accomplished by connecting RCO of each stage to the counter clock (CPC) input of the following stage. Inputs include clamp diodes. This enables the use of current limiting resistors to interface inputs to voltages in excess of VCC.
74HC292 High Speed CMOS Programmable Divider Timer IC (74292 IC) DIP-16 Package
The 74HC292/7292 and HC294/7294 are high speed CMOS PROGRAMMABLE DIVIDER/TIMER fabricated with silicon C2 MOS technology. They achieve the high speed operation similar to equivalent LSTTL while maintaining the CMOS low power dissipation. These devices are programmable frequency dividers. The type shave two clock inputs, either one may be used for clock gating. (see the function table). The HC292/7292 can divide from 22 to 231, and the HC294/7294 can divide from 22 to 215. The types feature an active-low clear input to initialize the state of all flip-flops. To facilitate incoming inspection, test points are provided. (TP1, TP2 and TP3 on the HC292/7292 and TP on the HC294/7294). All inputs are equipped with protection circuits against static discharge and transient excess voltage. HC292/294 have Q output with ?Totem pole? configuration and test point TP with ?Open Drain? output configuration.

PIC16C57 Microcontroller
The PIC16C57 from Microchip Technology is a family of low cost, high performance, 8-bit fully static, EPROM/ROM-based CMOS micro controllers. It employs a RISC architecture with only 33 single word/ single cycle instructions. All instructions are single cycle except for program branches which take two cycles. The PIC16C57 delivers performance in an order of magnitude higher than its competitors in the same price category. The 12-bit wide instructions are highly symmetrical resulting in 2:1 code compression over other 8-bit micro controllers in its class. The easy to use and easy to remember instruction set reduces development time significantly. The PIC16C57 products are equipped with special features that reduce system cost and power requirements. The Power-on Reset (POR) and Device Reset Timer (DRT) eliminate the need for external RESET circuitry. There are four oscillator configurations to choose from, including the power saving LP (Low Power) oscillator and cost saving RC oscillator. Power saving SLEEP mode, Watchdog Timer and Code Protection features improve system cost, power and reliability. The UV erasable CERDIP packaged versions are ideal for code development, while the cost effective One Time Programmable (OTP) versions are suitable for production in any volume. The customer can take full advantage of Microchip?s price leadership in OTP micro controllers, while benefiting from the OTP?s flexibility. The PIC16C57 supported by a full featured macro assembler, a software simulator, an in-circuit emulator, a low cost development programmer and a full featured programmer. All the tools are supported on IBM? PC and compatible machines.
