he Raspberry Pi Foundation has released a new version of its flagship model, the Raspberry Pi 4 Model B with 8 GB Ram. In addition to the models that come with 2GB and 4GB of RAM, there’s a new 8GB RAM model.
As always, you get a single-board computer that is the size of a deck of cards. It has an ARM-based CPU, many ports, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a big community of computer enthusiasts. You’ll be able to run applications that require more RAM, whether you use the Raspberry Pi to run a server or as a desktop computer.
All other hardware is the same as before except the RAM variation in this new Launch.
What else has changed?
To supply the slightly higher peak currents required by the new memory package, they have shuffled the power supply components on the board, removing a switch-mode power supply from the right-hand side of the board next to the USB 2.0 sockets and adding a new switcher next to the USB-C power connector. While this was a necessary change for this upgrade.
