SPDT Slide Switch An electronic switch is an electronic component or device that can switch an electrical circuit, interrupting the current or diverting it from one conductor to another. Adding another pole to the SPDT creates a Single Pole, double-throw (SPDT) switch. Basically, two SPDT switches, which can control two separate circuits, but are always switched together by a single actuator. SPDTs should have six terminals. DPDT is a Single pole double throw switch; this is equivalent to two SPDT switches. It routes two separate circuits, connecting each of two inputs to one of two outputs. The position of the switch determines the number of ways in which each of the two contacts can be routed. This is a multipurpose STDP Slide Switch. It is medium-sided and perfect for mounting on boards and on enclosures, for which it comes with two holes on its body. Use this as an On/Off switch or just as a general-purpose switch.
